Implementing Digital Paper Communication Boards in a Boston Hospital: a Case Study
What You'll Learn:
The need to improve the patient and clinician experience is driving hospitals’ digitization efforts in order to enhance communication, improve workflow efficiency, and reduce medical errors. Real-time data automated from an EMR/EHR system onto a digital display can keep everyone informed, but many hospitals are facing two challenges: complex and costly installation, and the balance of making information available and preventing light pollution from the display from affecting patients. Digital Paper displays from E Ink can address all of these issues, and more. Join, followed by a panel discussion.
Attend this webinar with E Ink, MDM and Brigham Women’s Hospital as they present a case study on how Digital Paper Communication Boards can help hospitals to bridge the gap and bring their digitization into the 21st century.
Join us to:
- Learn how a major hospital addressed their pain points through Digital Paper
- See how easy it is to deploy Digital Paper in your facility – in some cases, without wires!
- Understand how you can connect Digital Paper to your EHR/EMR systems
- Discover how Digital Paper displays prevent light pollution, giving your patients more needed rest

Director of Patient Experience Solutions
With more than 10 years of experience in the healthcare solution space, Chris Miller has developed a passion for enhancing the healthcare experience through increased patient engagement and education; providing hospitals with the tools and support needed to improve lives and drive better outcomes for the populations they serve. Early in his career, Chris’s experience began in emergency and disaster preparedness, helping hospitals by offering a solution that allows healthcare workers to evacuate all patients quickly and effectively without lifting or carrying them. This is where his passion for education and collaborating with clinical teams began. He then transitioned out of emergency management to the patient engagement and experience area where he has spent the last six years providing advanced solutions to improve care coordination for healthcare providers, such as interactive patient care with patient education, patient entertainment, medication teaching, digital rounding, and digital whiteboard – all of which are designed to enhance and drive an improved patient experience as well as clinical and operational efficiencies. Today, Chris serves as the Director of Patient Experience Solutions at MDM Healthcare providing those same solutions that enhance clinical workflow, improve process, and deliver streamlined patient engagement across the continuum of care.
